Our founder A.D.(Arthur David) Brawner
1922-2007
Fondly remembered as "Pop", founded Brawner Lighting & Co. in 1948. He served in WWII and worked as a tool and die maker for Hughes Tool before setting out on his own. Pop's early accomplishments include the Bronze Chandelier and Sconces in the Hunt room at the Warwick Hotel and the exterior gas copper lanterns  on the front entrance to the Forbes Mansion, River Oaks, both in Houston, Texas.

A relationship formed in the early 1950's with Arthur & Mary Graeter, founders of the House of Glass (Houston, Texas), introduced the realm of restoration into the company's services. That relationship continues to this day.

Evidenced by the two generations of Brawners that are following in Pops footsteps is a genuine sense of integrity and a continuing commitment to quality products and services.

In 2007, the original shop, located in Shepherd, TX, was moved to its present location on Louisiana Street in downtown Houston. Here the work is done the old way, one at a time, handmade. Attention to detail, custom design and skillful craftsmanship remain the cornerstones of the business.
